Vietnamese military high-ranking delegation active in Belarus

PANO – During a working visit to the Republic of Belarus, a military high-ranking delegation, led by Senior Lieutenant-General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of Vietnam People's Army's General Department of Politics, on June 26th, visited the Vayar Military Information Agency of the Belarusian Armed Forces, the VoyenTV Television Company of the Belarusian Defence Ministry and the National Library of Belarus.
At receptions, General Ngo Xuan Lich and other Vietnamese military high-ranking delegates were briefed on the units’ functions, organizational structures, tasks and personnel. During a visit to the Vayar Military Information Agency, the Vietnamese military officials were interested in its organizational structure and functions. The Agency, under the Belarusian Defence Ministry, takes responsibility for informing timely national defence issues and Belarusian Government’s policies on national defence to the public as well as printing and publishing periodical printed matters and text books on world political and military issues to readers at home and abroad.

Besides, the Vayar carries out studies on real situation and development prospect of military organizations worldwide to propose suitable policies to the Belarusian Defence Ministry’s operations for national security; manages the Belarusian Army Newspaper and some professional magazines; establishes and builds up the website of its Defence Ministry and creates console and online games to make contributions to heightening their young people's awareness of duty and responsibility for national build-up and protection.
During a visit to the VoyenTV Television Company of the Belarusian Defence Ministry, the Vietnamese high-level delegation was also interested in its staff and experiences on making military programs for Belarusian troops. Noteworthy is that with advanced equipment and skillful reporters, the television’s programs meet demands of troops’ spiritual life and improve Belarusian combat readiness training quality. According to General Lich, experiences of the VoyenTV on military television programs production helped the General Department of Politics give instruction to set up soon a Vietnamese military channel.
On the same day, the military high-ranking delegation of the Vietnam People’s Army offered incenses at the Kha-Run National Memorable Site in Minsk City, Belarus. Previously, they also paid visits to Belarus’ National History Museum and Handicraft Village and Craft Museum.
