PANO – A high-ranking military delegation, led by Senior Lieutenant-General Le Huu Duc, Deputy Defence Minister, has recently paid a visit to Corps 15 during its working visit to the Central Highlands.

Having been briefed of the unit’s achievements in implementing its assigned tasks by Major-General Nguyen Xuan Sang, Commander of the Corps, General Duc highly appreciated Corps 15’s successes in doing business and in building up its strong armed and reserve forces, promoting combat readiness training quality and maintaining social order and security on border areas of Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces. Moreover, the unit generated many jobs for ethnic people, presented hundreds of tons of rice for needy people and offered free health check-ups and medicines to local residents. Especially, Corps 15 carried out effectively the model to unite households of the Viet and Thuong people to develop production to boost poverty alleviation and hunger elimination.

Within the working visit’s framework, General Duc and his entourage also visited Companies 72, 74, 75 (under Corps 15), the Military Bank’s Gia Lai branch, Border Post 721 and Gia Lai Provincial High Command.
