PANO - The National Defence Academy organized a scientific seminar, “Strategic offensive in 1972-values of argument and reality in Vietnam revolutionary cause” on June 7^th.

All 13 papers delivered at or sent to the seminar focused on the discussions, argument and practical issues such as lessons on comprehensive assessment and judgment on the strategy with an determination to launch the strategic offensive; and the arts of organizing the people’s warfare and the combination of military and political forces; the coordination of armed forces to create the invincible strength.

Noteworthy is that the strategic offensive mobilized three arms of the army to launch sudden attacks on the foreign invaders from three directions. This combination had created a rapid development, confirming the military strength of regular troops in the Southern battlefield and confirmed the maturity of the art of war of Vietnam.

The seminar once again pointed out the strength of the people’s warfare, the role of leadership and instructions, creative application of experienced lessons and the art of war values of strategic offensive in 1972 in conducting researches and developing discussions on people’s warfare to defend the country in new period.
