The Japanese Government will provide non-refundable aid worth more than 245,000 USD to build two primary schools in the northern provinces of Hung Yen and Thai Binh.

Under contracts signed in Hanoi on July 17, the funding will be granted to Nhat Tan commune, Tien Lu district, Hung Yen province and Thai Hong commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province to construct new facilities with eight classrooms each, in order to replace downgraded ones in the localities.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Hideo Suzuki, charge d’affaires of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam expressed his hope that the projects will help improve the teaching and learning environment in the primary schools in Hung Yen and Thai Binh provinces.

The aid is also expected to strengthen the friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam , he said.
