A RoK and Vietnam friendship college built

PANO - A groundbreaking ceremony of Bac Giang Vietnam-Republic of Korea Technology College was held in Thai Dao Commune, Bac Giang Province, by KOICA on March 27th.
At the ceremony, Mr. Lee Jong Seon, Deputy-President of KOICA, said that the college focuses its training on technology for skilled technicians to contribute to the local economic development. Besides, through this non-refundable aid, the Republic of Korea will share its experiences on technological training.
Mr. Lee hoped that the project would help tighten the friendship between the two countries’ governments and people.
Once completed in 2014, the US$10million College is expected to train around 810 technical students per year.
Over the past 20 years, KOICA has funded 4 projects in vocational training and technology in Hanoi, Quy Nhon, Nghe An and Da Nang.
The project of building Bac Giang Vietnam-Republic of Korea Technology College is part of the Korean Sponsoring Strategy for Vietnam.
