PANO – The senior delegation of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, on its ongoing visit to Vietnam, led by Deputy-Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, Senior Lieutenant-General Joaquín Quintas Sola paid a courtesy call to Vietnam Defence Minister, General Phung Quang Thanh on the afternoon of September 19th.

At the Vietnam Defence Ministry's Headquarters, the Vietnamese Defence Minister warmly welcomed the Cuban delegation.

At the reception, the host applauded the visit and said that it would further strengthen the traditional friendly ties and cooperation between the two peoples and armies.

General Thanh also highly valued the results of the talks yesterday between the two sides co-chaired by Vietnamese Deputy Defence Minister, Senior Lieutenant-General Nguyen Chi Vinh and visiting Cuban Deputy Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, Senior Lieutenant-General Joaquín Quintas Sola.

General Thanh also expressed joy with the fruits of cooperation between the two armies in recent time.

Senior Lieutenant-General Joaquín Quintas Sola, on behalf of the Cuban delegation, thanked the Vietnamese Defence Minister for the reception.

He also reassured the wish to boost cooperation between the two armies, especially in military officer training, information and experience exchanges in military force building, for peace, stability and development in each country, regions and world.
