Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thien, Deputy Chairman of Ha Tinh provincial People’s Committee laid stress on the significance of the tournament and highly appreciated the meaningful activities of organizing panel during the tournament.

Mr. Nguyen Thien said that in wartime, tens of thousands of youths of Ha Tinh province went to battlefields. At present, Ha Tinh has 290, 000 beneficiaries. Therefore, gifts to beneficiaries in Ha Tinh province and other provinces are meaningful ones to help and encourage beneficiaries to overcome difficulties as well as to call on people to response to activities to pay gratitude to beneficiaries and to those who had rendered good services to the nation.

Cyclist Nguyen Van Cuong from Hanoi won yellow jersey with good performance of four hours, one minute, 23 seconds.

Mr. Au Van Don, Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Motor and Bicycle Sports Federation said this portion lap is shorter than the third one and road condition is better. Therefore, cyclists should have techniques to have excellent performance to win the stage.

After the ceremony, 60 athletes continued their race through 150 kms from Ha Tinh province to Quang Binh province.

In the stage, athletes went through famous places, such as Gianh River, Nhat Le River, Luy Thay, Bau Tro, Cha Lo, Ba Don and Truong Son Trail which attached to fierce fighting of Vietnamese people against foreign invaders for national independence. They also received support and active encouragement from local people in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces.

Cyclist Nguyen Van Cuong from Hanoi won yellow jersey with good performance of four hours, one minute, 23 seconds. Cyclists Mai Nguyen Hung and Le Van Duan from Eximbank branch in Ho Chi Minh City came second and third in the fourth stage.

Organising panel presents gifts to those who had rendered good services to the nation

After award handing-over ceremony, organising panel presented 20 gifts to those who had rendered good services to the nation in Quang Binh City.

Also on July 18^th, organising panel handed over 20 gifts to those who had rendered good services to the nation in Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.
