QĐND - Friday, January 28, 2011, 21:25 (GMT+7)

PANO - Along Van Mieu Street, Hanoian scholars are writing parallel sentences and offering meaningful words or sentences to the public to wish them a happy and prosperous New Year.

On these days, the street, the so-called “Street of Scholars”, is crowded with both young and old scholars and domestic and international spectators.

Foreign visitors are excited to eye-witness scholars writing scripts. Some also tried to write calligraphy themselves under instruction from these scholars.

The “Street of Scholars”, has become an annual cultural feature for Hanoians, and so making Tet more meaningful.

The following are several images of the “Street of Scholars” through the lens of PANO’s reporters.
