PANO – A 22-part TV serial “Legend C1” on the fierce fights of voluntary youths in the Southwestern region along Road C1 is being shown on channel HTV9 at 17:30 every day from September 19th.
The film, directed by People’s artist Nguyen Thanh Van, tells the story of 800 young volunteers who had transported over 13,000 tons of weapons, military equipment, food and medicines to battlefields along the C1 road under the barbarous bombs and shells of the enemies over 2000 days during the anti-US resistance war for national salvation. They themselves also participated in more than 200 battles and transferred a number of wounded soldiers to safe areas for treatment.
Many of these volunteers had to lie about their age to be old enough to join the volunteer force.
The film was shot by the Tay Nam Film Co., Ltd. with total investment of VND 20 billion from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
