QĐND - Thursday, September 27, 2007, 23:35 (GMT+7)
300 female students from all 64 cities and provinces across Vietnam will officially be granted scholarships by the Vietnam Talented Girl-Students 2007. The scholarships worth VND 1 million each will be given to students from the beginning of October.
The fund that provides the scholarships has been founded by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and Kimberly-Clark Vietnam company. Scholarships which are frequently earmarked for poor but competent female students are effective incentives and encouragement to keep them studying well.
In addition, the fund will offer 15 other scholarships to female Olympic Prize winners with the aim to promote the talent of female students.
Since its inception, the fund has granted 3,712 scholarships worth nearly VND 5 billion.
