Singaporean students take part in voluntary activities in Vietnam

From September 17-29, 33 students and 3 lecturers from Singapore’s Ngee Ann Polytechnic University will take part in a voluntary programme at the Thien Phuoc centre for AO children in precinct 12, Ho Chi Minh City.
Under the programme supported by the International Youth Club (IYC) and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union these volunteers are divided into 3 groups with different tasks, namely caring for children, decorating bedrooms, helping children with physiotherapy exercises, repairing facilities which are in poor condition.
The volunteers also have collected secondhand clothes, toys and books for children at the Thien Phuoc centre and others.
This is the first voluntary trip launched by Singaporean students and they will try their best to fulfill the mission, said Lecturer Ng Hoe Chuan, head of the delegation.
