53 martyrs' sets of remains handed over to localities

The association of former Ho Chi Minh City voluntary youth in association with the traditional Liaison Board of War Veterans of Division 9 and Tay Ninh People’s Committee, on July 22nd, held a solemn ceremony to hand over 53 sets of remains of martyrs, who died during the resistant war against the American imperialists and in battlefields to defend the nation's southwestern border, for their burials in their hometown martyrs’ cemeteries.
These 53 sets of remains have been gathered after 20 surveying phases from June 2011 to the present in various burial places in Vietnam and Cambodia.
Since July 2007, 501 remains of martyrs have been found and handed over for burial in local cemeteries.
