228,000 foreign tourists visited Vietnam last month, down 25.1 percent against the previous month, according to the National Administration of Tourism. 

Tourists sharply decreased from the main markets, by 24.2% from the Republic of Korea, by 26.3% from China and by 18.8% from Thailand.

The country welcomed 3 million of foreign tourists in the first nine months of this year, a drop of 16 percent compared to the same period last year

With the 3^rd Asian Indoor Games taking place in Vietnam, the tourism industry is expecting to reach its set goal of attracting 3.7-3.8 million foreign tourists by the end of this year.
