Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong received 20 dignitaries of the Cao Dai religious sect in Hanoi on January 7.

Mr Trong briefed his guests on national socio-economic achievements in 2008 and plans for 2009. He called on Caodai dignitaries, functionaries and followers to further contribute to national unity, actively participate in exemplary role model movements and work harder towards a prosperous Vietnam.

The dignitaries expressed their gratitude to the Party and Government for their assistance to religious followers in general and Caodaists in particular. They vowed to encourage their followers to lead a healthy and religious life and promote national unity.
